A rare, 17th-century printing of the works of Virgil. This 1618 edition includes Virgil's most famous works – Bucolics' or 'Eclogues', the 'Georgics' and the 'Aeneid'. 'The Aeneid' is one of Virgil's most important and well-known works; an epic poem that tells the story of Aeneas, a Greco-Roman myth, and his travels. This work is considered one of the most important and best works of literature ever to be written. (Damen).

In addition to the major three works of Virgil, this edition features the lesser works of 'Culex' and 'Ciris' – two pastoral poems – which are often attributed to Virgil. This edition was edited by German philologist Friedrich Taubmann and published in Wittenberg, Germany.
