About This Item

New Haven: Yale University Press, 1925. LIBERTY BELL EDITION. Set #1071/1500. Signed by the President of Yale. Bound in morocco leather bindings. Gilded spines. Top edges are gilded. Illustrated. These are large books measuring over 10 inches tall. In good condition, and consistent with that book grade. Worn spines, as shown. With abrasion and chipping. The hinges are attached and strong, although internally there is some starting. Early bookplate. Some waviness from old water damage. Not musty. Small edge chips internally and externally. General external abrasion and some bleeding and dustiness, but still a nice antiquarian leather set that displays well. Titles: Volume 1 - Adventurers in the wilderness, Volume 2 - The Lure of the frontier, a story of race conflict, Volume 3 - Toilers of land and sea, Volume 4 - The March Of Commerce, Volume 5 - The Epic Of Industry, Volume 6 - The Winning Of Freedom, Volume 7 - In Defense Of Liberty, Volume 8 - Builders Of The Republic, Volume 9 - Makers Of A New Nation, Volume 10 - American idealism, Volume 11 - The American spirit in letters, Volume 12 - The American spirit in art, Volume 13 - The American spirit in architecture, Volume 14 - The American Stage, Volume 15 - Annals Of American Sport. This set would make an excellent gift and/or addition to any fine library. In addition to their shelf presence, antiquarian books make an excellent investment. We always pack very securely to help ensure safe handling during transit. All books are individually wrapped and are always professionally padded. We offer a full refund guarantee, per our terms described on our site, with notification of such intent requested. Please contact us with any inquiries.
