London: The Leadenhall Press Ltd, 1899. First Edition. Blue Cloth. Very Good Minus/No Wrapper. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" Large. N/a. 509, 22 (ads.) 1899. First edition. Original publisher's cloth with charming gilt blocked design (of a lady kissing her cat!) to the front board and gilt embossed lettering to the spine. Upper edge gilt. Original ribbon page-divider - separated at the spine. Numerous b/w illustrations throughout support the text. Splitting to the front inner hinge. Slight splitting to the rear inner hinge. There are a couple of nicks to the cloth at the head and tail of the spine with some assocaited rubbing. All four corners are lightly turned in and there is a light bump to one corner and to the front edge of the front board and there is a light rub mark to the head of the front board. Internally clean and tight with only one neat ink name inscription to the head of the reverse of the frontispiece plate. A very good minus copy.
