Henry John Temple, 3rd Viscount Palmerston, was a British statesman who served twice as British Prime Minister. He served in government office nearly continuously from 1807 until his death in 1865, He began his parliamentary career as a Tory and ended it as a Liberal. An exlibrary copy from the Sturgis Library, Barnstable, Massachusetts. Library marks include small white letter on spine, bookplate from 1930, and library stamps. Shelfwear. Hinges weak. Very good.
