Slightest hint of fading to upper and lower board edges. Binding is tight and square, hinges are sound - no cracking. Pages and edges are clean, with small previous owner name neatly penned at top edge of front free endpaper. Foreword by the author. Illustrated with drawings and photographs, fold-out map in perfect condition. 398 pages + 23 page index. Dust jacket is not price clipped (4.50 on front inside flap), has one 3" crooked tear at spine fold, a few very tiny edge chips, slight age-toning. Enclosed in new archival quality removable mylar cover..
