Germany, 1780. Lovely 18th century copperplate engraving with period handcolor of butterfly/moth. Approx. 8x10 1/2". Most likely from Johan Cristoph Esper's "Die Schmetterlinge in Abbil-dungen nach der Natur mit Beschreibungen", published between 1777 and 1801. Title of this print "Papil. Exotic. Tab IV" illustrating the Deiphobus and Pammon species.
