No date. Ca. 1780.. Copperplate engraving, thick wove paper sheet 10 x 7 3/4 inches, very good condition. An exquisitely engraved and colored antique print showing two butterflies, Anceus and Bianor, with appealing detail. Probably from the German entymologist Johann Christoph Esper's Die Schmetterlinge in Abbil-dungen nach der Natur mit Beschreibungen, published between 1777 and 1801. .
