The first work is not dated to the title page but the advertisement by John Evans is dated Islington, July 1814; the second work Paradise Regained is dated 1806 to the title page. Pp.Paradise Lost: xxxii; 498. [there is not a second title page for Paradise Lost]; Paradise Regained: [4], 205, [1]. Bound in contemporary full polished calf with extensive gilt decoration to the spine, and gilt patterned borders to the boards. Binding very good and strong, with light wear and rubbing, title label a little chipped, corners more worn. Contents clean and tight, original marbled end papers. A very good copy. . Hardcover.
