Very Good. 12mo; [24], 602, [10]pp. In contemporary bevelled blindstamped wooden boards with remains of brass hasps and clasps (somewhat worn with loss of leather at head and foot of spine and to crispness of blindstamping, hinges cracked but secure), three raised double spine bands, lacks front fee endpaper, woodcut portrait of Christ to title-page, ownership inscription to reverse of title-page of William Henry Sewell (1837-1896, Vicar of Yaxley, Suffolk), two small Sewell library stamps to front pastedown and title page, with early ink inscriptions to front pastedown, head of title-page and rear blank, p.577/578 with small burn hole affecting a few words, unobtrusive light paper browning, overall a clean and attractive copy of this pocket devotional work in its original wooden binding. USTC 682599, citing 15 institutional holdings of which 4 in UK and 1 in US.
