About This Item
N.D. Phot [Étienne and Louis-Antonin Neurdein, Paris]., N.D. circa 1900. First edition. Oblong octavo. 54 photgravures, with captions in French, English and German. Original red pebbled pictorial cloth lettered in gilt. All edges gilt. N.D. Phot was the acronym of the largest printer of postcards at the time. These images, measuring 8 by 5 1/2 inches, by the Brothers Neurdein, will be of interest to afficionados of old automobiles. The brothers were the recipients of many prizes in their day. The first image is a little tanned from the endpaper and the red dye of the cloth has bled onto the lower margins of the last three plates. Very good indeed.
