New Orleans: New Orleans Museum of Art/Unoversity Press of Mississippi, 1993. 351p., 9.25x12.25 inches, foreword, preface, biographies, checklist of the exhibition, bibliography, lenders, index, illustrated by color plates of the art and photos in b&w of the artists etc., fine first edition in green cloth and copper foil titles, like unclipped dj. TLS signed by the author/assistant director of the film version of the exhibit on letterhead for the production laid-in along with a copy of Joseph L. Brotherton's thank-you letter. Personal inscription to Keiko and Joe Brotherton signed by author Yellen. This is the book which accompanied the NOLA exhibition and the film of the same name. The exhibition featured mostly African American artists from the South. The previous owner from the inscription and letters laid-in was Joseph L. Brotherton a San Francisco-based artist who was born and raised in Michigan and Montana.
