Dust jacket shows fluid stains (as seen from the inside), missing pieces, large tears, heavy tanning, nicks, chips, and heavy sunfade & foxing. Orange hardcovers are damaged due to heavy fluid staining, which impact both boards and the spine. Textblock shows tanning and foxing. Front and rear pastedowns and endpapers are tanned from the binding glue as well as the fluid stains. There are numerous markings and notations throughout the text. Overall, the book is in Poor/Acceptable/Damaged condition.

Rust colored cloth boards, silver device on front board. Features a large folding map in fine condition between page 272 and 273 and other illustrations. Very good+ in VG- dust jacket. Some toning to edges of endpapers, head and heel of spine no longer crisp, small groove to rear board at heel of spine but no damage to cloth. Jacket faded along spine, wear along front flap fold, chipping to jacket at head and heel of spine, tips of flap folds.

Carolyn Foreman was an historian of note and one would imagine a contributor to Foreman's work.
