About This Item

Emmaus, PA: Rodale Press, 1971 Rodale Press, Emmaus, PA. 1971. Hardcover. Stated 14th Printing. Book is tight, square, but does have occasional underlining. Book Condition: Good; light shlefwear to head, tail, tips, and board bottoms. DJ: Good; closed tear at spine; chipping to head and tail; wear to tips; rubbing to panels. 245 pp 8vo. This book was published in 1945 but its content is just as relevant today as we seek a cleaner environment, more nutritious food, and increased soil fertility. The author was the pioneer of the organic movement and developed many methods of composting, mulching, and growing methods. This is a guide to food that is high in vitamins and minerals and free of synthetic contaminates. A clean very presentable copy in a Bordart mylar jacket.
