About This Item

London, England: William Collins. Fine in Fine dust jacket. 1973. 1st Edition; 1st Printing. Hardcover. 000213179X . Hardcover with dustjacket, beautiful collector's copy of the 56th volume in the publisher's "New Naturalist" series, first printing as indicated by "First published 1973" stated on copyright page, book and jacket are clean and crisp as new, the original price is present and a professional (removable) mylar cover is included, please do note that there is a minor flaw on the underside of the jacket: the former owner placed the jacket in a protective mylar cover and when it was removed a 3/4-inch strip of very slight tanning remained on the top and bottom edge, there is slight evidence of this on the "up" side of the jacket at the bottom of the rear panel, it's quite inconsequential in our opinion, "This highly individual volume in the New Naturalist series is about neither plants, animals, nor other creatures, but about their names, and about words which have their origin in nature" .
