London and New York: Ernest Nister. E P Dutton & Co A good copy of this classic pop-up book with 4 working pop-ups. Undated but 1890's. The pictorial card binding is clean with some wear to corners and edges. The linen spine is disintegrating. Internally, the endpapers have a decorative floral design. They are splitting at the front hinge and there is an old signature to the fep which is partly reflected in lighter paper on the title page. The text with beautiful line illustrations is clean with brown toning, particularly to edges. The 4 pop-ups are intact and in good working order.
