About This Item

Stourbridge: Heming and Tallis, 1814. The rare sole edition of the separately printed pamphlet, containing excerpts of Banck's A Short Critical Review of the Political Life of Oliver Cromwell. . ., originally published in 1739 (though many of the passages in the instant work are lifted verbatim not from the 1739 first edition but the 1742 second edition). This edition largely removes Banck's polemic and commentary, leaving only 21 pages from a work originally running over 300 pages.

12mo. [2], [7]-28pp., frontis. Apparently unrecorded with no copies located on OCLC or Library Hub as of November 2021. Good in modern paper boards, stamped number to endpaper, pages rather age-toned, edges a bit ragged, one leaf loose but present.
