Grosset & Dunlap issued this with several different dust jackets. This one shows Penrod sitting and holding a book while he looks at some handwritten pages by his feet, with a dog next to him. Publisher's catalog on back section of dust jacket. Book is in Near Fine Condition: minor damage to fore-edges of 2 leaves; otherwise, clean and tight. Dust jacket is in Very Good- Condition: chipping and minor loss at spine ends; scrape on front section near upper edge; several closed tears of 2 cm. or less from upper and lower edges; color is bright. 0.
