New York: Doubleday, Doran & Company, Inc., 1929. First. Hardcover . Used - near very good/Good. First Edition stated. Signed, and dated (August 26, 1942), ffe. A square tight copy with unmarked text. Endpapers with faint spotting. Blue cloth boards lightly rubbed and spotted. In unclipped dj ($2.00) whose verso extremities are reinforced with brown 'library' tape (this is NOT a library copy). Lightly worn dj with short tears, tiny chips, faint creasing to extremities. Spine faded, blue and white lettering mostly unaffected but red is now light yellow. Dj now protected in removable mylar cover.

Synopsis

Penrod Jashber is the third in a series of collections of sketches by Booth Tarkington about the adventures of Penrod Schofield, an 11-year-old middle-class boy in a small city in the pre-World War I Midwestern United States. Published in 1929, it was preceded by Penrod in 1914 and Penrod and Sam in 1916. The three books were published together as one volume, Penrod: His Complete Story, in 1931.
