Boards now protected by a new Brodart Archival Mylar Cover. Boards are bright red with paper author and title labels on spine and front cover. Label on front is complete but spine label is chipped. Boards and pages are clean, unmarked, brightly colored, tightly bound and sharp cornered (except for very slight rubbing at board corners). Scarce, Out Of Print, Book. Evelyn Scott (1893–1963) was an American novelist, playwright and poet, who also wrote under the pseudonyms Ernest Souza and Elsie Dunn. This book "Precipitations" was her first book. .

INSCRIBED to the painter Jack Freeman by the author on the first interior page. One of an unknown but presumably microscopic number of copies of the self-published first edition of this pocket-sized poetic collection by a key figure in San Francisco's North Beach from the Beat era until his death a few years after this was issued. Just about as new (minor marks on cover appear to be printing artifact).

Rare mid-seventies issue of the classic San Francisco underground Beat magazine, includes a great range of luminaries (including one poem by Dale Pendell). A curious 1976 leaflet entitled The Grant Getter's Gazette by Michael Weiner is laid in. Unmarked copy with a bit of reading wear (front cover has some printing offset, as observed with other copies).

Beautiful as-new copy of the fourth issue of this groundbreaking literary and Kabbalistic magazine edited by David Meltzer. Includes Image of the Wall by Wallace Berman, a lengthy 1964 letter from Lenny Bruce to a judge, a number of Kabbalistic pieces from traditional authorities, and other material from writers associated with the Semina scene. Unmarked copy, as new.

A strip of light partial browned in the free endpapers and some spotting throughout. A tiny dealer plate to the front pastedown. A nice bright copy in the uncommon dust wrapper, slightly dust marked and tanned, and chipped at the spine panel ends with a little loss. Graves' fifth book, forty-six poems, dedicated to his wife Nancy Nicholson. 1,000 copies were printed. Higginson A5.

HATFIELD BOOKS AND MEMORABILIA, a FIVE STAR SELLER, presents a VERY RARE ASSOCIATION COPY of the 1828 collection of historical Scottish prose and verse, JACOBITE MINSTRELSY. Though yet unverified, the early owner, signed Edward Sugden, is presumably EDWARD SUGDEN, First Baron of St. Leonards, Lord Chancellor of Ireland under both King William IV and Queen Victoria, and (for one year only) Lord Chancellor of Great Britain under Queen Victoria. 1828 is the stated publishing date, while 1829 appears in Roman numerals on title page, making this a very early printing. 3 1/4" x 5 1/4", 362 pages, plus 8 pages of index. No jacket as designed. Cover is marbled grey and brown boards with ¼ bound brown cloth, including at corners, titled in gold gilt on the binding. The front cover is separated, making the overall condition Very Good rather than Near Fine. A note follows the final printed page: "Robert Malcolm, printer."
