Ex-library with stamps on front flyleaf and title page of each volume. 18 orig. vols bound two per vol. 24mo, 5 1/2" tall, about 180 pages per title, with an engraved frontispiece for each title; three quarter vellum over marbled boards, with gilt titles and decoration with leather spine labels, marbled fore-edges and endpapers. A very good, clean, sturdy, butbincomplete set with minor shelf wear, light rubbing, and slight exterior soiling, leather labels on some volumes chipped; marbled rear endpapers have some paper residue from removed library labels; binding sound and tight, paper lightly yellowed with light scattered foxing. Engraved frontispiece for each title, two per volume. Still, a handsome set as is The name of the collection was taken from the Percy coffee-house in Rathbone Place in Fitzrovia where Byerley and Robertson used to meet.
