Image measures 13" x 18.25".<br/><br/> Fine antique map of Perugia and Lake Trasimeno in central Italy in the Umbria region. Today the region is known it's foraged truffles and red wine. From 1603 edition "Theatrum Orbis Terrarum". Minor chipping to edges. Light stain near top centerfold. Full original margins. Abraham Ortelius (1527--1598), a Flemish cartographer and geographer, is widely regarded as one of the important and influential cartographers in history. He is known for his "Theatrum Orbis Terrarum," which was the first modern atlas.<br/><br/>
