About This Item

Garden City, New York, U.S.A.: Doubleday & Company, Inc. , 1983. First Edition, First Printing . Hardcover. VG-/Good. A true FIRST EDITION, First Printing, with all appropriate points--these must ALL be present & be wary of dealers who do not designate them! (edition statement on copyright page, correct rear gutter code, & earlier date for "Caretakers" on rear DJ). Hardcover book with plain black cloth boards & gilt lettering to front & spine is in solidly VG- (slightly less than very good, but better than good) condition: generally very clean, remarkably white with perhaps a whisper of tanning, NO foxing. NO writing, highlighting or underlining; NOT ex-lib, NOT BCE. Only real flaws are 1) slight rubbing to extremities & corner bumping, 2) heavier rubbing to front boards, & 3) slight bend to outer top edges of front matter pages. The unclipped DJ (with orig. $15.95 price intact) is downgraded to only Good- due to 2 rather large chips to top inner corner of front cover & foot of spine. Back cover is yellowed with mild soiling; modest edgewear all around. Nicely protected in new 2.5 ml archival mylar cover. Please see our photos--they show the Exact book you will receive from us, never "stock" images! Description & photos copyright Gargoyle Books 2020. Same Day Shipping on all orders received by 2 pm Weekdays (Pacific time); Weekends & holidays, next business day.

This was my first Stephen King book waaaaay back in 1984! It had just been released in paperback and my teachers thought I was one strange 11 year old!
