About This Item

Garden City, New York, U.S.A.: Doubleday & Company, Inc. , 1983. First Edition Later Printing . Hardcover. Good+/Fair. A FIRST EDITION, later printing in Second state DJ (later date for "Caretakers") hardcover with plain black cloth boards & gilt lettering to front & spine. Condition downgraded to only Good+ due to moderate-heavy foxing to all outside page edges & some very faint foxed spots scattered inside. Otherwise, book is very clean, binging tight & square, pages off-white. NO writing, highlighting or underlining; NOT ex-lib, NOT BCE. Other flaws include mild corner bumping. The unclipped DJ is only Fair, marred by many small chips, primarily at both ends of spine. There is also a 3" diagonal tear descending from the top spine edge of front cover into the "S" in author's name at top. Light soil/discoloration to white areas of back cover. Looks nice protected in new 2.5 mil archival mylar cover. Please see our photos--they show the Exact book you will receive from us, never "stock" images! This was my first Stephen King book waaaaay back in 1984! It had just been released in paperback and my teachers thought I was one strange 11 year old!
