Two hand drawn maps at front and a section of reproductions of original manuscript documents at rear. Massive geneological study of Peter Gaunt and his descendants. The Gaunt family was originally from Ghent in Flanders. Peter, a Quaker, was born circa 1610 in Lincolnshire, England. In 1633, he emigrated to Scituate, Massachusets, remaining in that colony through at least 1672 when he was disowned by the Quakers for "disunity of belief". The family went ot New Jersey in the 1680 and there remianed, mostly in Gloucester County in the southwestern portion of the province of West Jersey.
