London: Kegan, Paul, Trench, Trubner & Co., Ltd, 1918. First Thus. Hardcover. Very Good. 8vo. Second impression of the abridged edition of the original (1886), prepared by Mrs. Henry Sidgwick (Eleanor Mildred Sidgwick). lx, 520 p.p. Original blue cloth boards, gilt titling to spine, spine is sunned. Bumping to corners of boards and spine ends, a few damp stains to rear board. Top edge red, roughly cut edges, some pages uncut. Offsetting to endpapers. Ink ownership inscription to FFEP. Some creasing and small tears to corners and edges of leaves, a few minor spots of foxing, but text not affected. The text is substantially as the authors left it with the exception of omissions for the sake of brevity in chapters VI and XIII, and no new cases have been introduced. This edition contains 186 of the original 700 cases of prima facie telepathic incidents.
