Second Edition. viii, [2], 265, [3], 32 p., frontispiece and 9 leaves of illustrations; title vignette and in-text diagrams; 20 cm. Off-white cloth with gilt spine title and red cover title; red spine and cover series titles; cover illustration in brown. Black endpapers. List of title in The Badminton Library edtied by the Duke of Beaufort on 2 pages following text. Publisher's catalog on 32 pages following The Badminton Library series list. This title is part of a series identified on the cover as the Fur, Feather and Fin Series, but on the half title page as the Fur and Feather Series, six titles of which are listed on the half title page verso. Former owner's inscription on Contents page: "Alan T. Cairnes, Drogheda 1898." Alan Thomas Cairnes (1859-1902) was a director and general manager of the Castlebellingham and Drogheda Breweries in Drogheda, Ireland. In Very Good+ Condition: corners bumped and rubbed; very light foxing on a few pages; otherwise, clean and tight.
