1858.. Engraving with original handcolor, sheet 6 1/2 x 4 inches. Very good condition. Plate 7 from William Jardine's Naturalist's Library volume on exotic moths. A beautifully patterned, green, red, brown, white and blue moth, a red, yellow and green caterpillar and a purple pupa are handcolored, the botanical background is etched in. Engraved by Lizars. .
