[PRODUCT DESIGN] Unique archive of 25 large format color negatives & 7 printed b&w images of consumer products with an emphasis on packaging, from chocolates to perfume-- Yves Saint Laurent Y, Elizabeth Arden Hand Lotion. Eyes Bright, Johnson's Baby Powder, Charles of the Ritz soaps, Paris Ritz Cologne, McCormick Pure Vanilla, Bromo Seltzer Tablets, etc. Circa 1960's.

Size: Approx. 10.5 x 8.5 inches

Three of the printed photographs are stamped on verso: PACKAGE DESIGNED BY | NORMAN COE | 20 BAYARD LANE | PRINCETON, N.J. Coe is listed in the directory "Modern Packaging Encyclopedia" (McGraw Hill, 1963).

Edge printing on a few negatives credits "Tony Venti." According to Luminous Lint, Anthony Guy Venti, 2014-1995, was an "American advertising photographer active in New York (ca. 1935-1970). He started working with Victor Keppler and then established his own studio in 1942. " Venti's work in advertising and fashion can be found in Esquire and other mid-century magazines; he was also frequently mentioned in trade publications, even featured in an October 1949 Popular Photography article by Mildred Stagg, "Tony Venti...The Versatile."

Images found in a film box for Kodak Plus-X Pan Estar Thick Base, a brand introduced in 1964 and renamed in 1967, according to THE ACETATE NEGATIVE SURVEY (by DG Horvath · 1987). Each is in a contemporary protective plastic sleeve. Edgeprint codes include "Kodachrome Safety 64."

Products include: Yves Saint Laurent Y, Elizabeth Arden Hand Lotion. Eyes Bright, Johnson's Baby Powder, Charles of the Ritz soaps, Paris Ritz Cologne, McCormick Pure Vanilla, Bromo Seltzer Tablets.

Condition: Images and negatives appear to be in VG condition-- 1 has a clipped corner.
