Works kept by Picasso at his villa La Californie on the French Riviera, photographed by David Douglas Duncan on site and in the company of Picasso. According to the back cover, this edition, abridged from a larger, hardcover one, omits the black and white catalog, the photographic index, and a final note by Duncan, but contains the complete text and all but six of the original 102 color plates. Photos of the works are preceded by several of the artist in his home. 6-1/2" x 9-1/2" softcover book printed on semi-gloss stock, light shelf wear and a few smudges to wraps. Name of former owner written on half-title, no other writing or marks observed.

The page edges have some very light shelf soiling to the page edges. The cover has some light soiling to the front. The dust jacket has soe light chipping and wear around the edge. The dust jacket is nicely wrapped in a clear Brodart cover.
