Illustrated with Nearly 200 Pictures Drawn by the Best Artists of England and America and A Lithographed Alphabet in Eight Colors." Red cloth spine, illustrated paper over hard covers, front cover in full-color with gilt detailing. Edges worn, back cover has b&w illustration, some rub marks. Most pages are tanned from age but very clean, pages with lithographed alphabet have color illustrations on glossy paper that is still white and bright. Hinges cracked but binding still very good and strong, all pages fully intact except front free endpaper. Child's name on rear pastedown page.
