Bound in floral decorated blind-stamped boards, with floral gilt designs and gilt titles to spine, this dated 1852 hardcover First Thus Edition (Some illustrations have appeared in ILN prior to this date) is Good plus 306pp with 22 Chapters and 49 engraved illustrations, full-page and set in text. Top of spine chipped (4mm missing), bookplate of E.A. Bennett to fixed front endpaper and signature on verso of frontispiece. small pice clipped from top of FFEP, slight foxing to prelims, tiny brown mark at prelim XV where clear tape has been used to support binding: now removed. Condition Good plus . Good. Hardcover. First Thus Edition.. 1852.
