Adam & Co., 1111. Hardcover. Acceptable. No edition remarks. 860 pages. No dust jacket. Fully bound brown leather with gilt. Colour illustration plates. Gilt edges to textblock. Pages with some foxing and tanning, particularly to endpapers and textblock edges. Most of binding remains firm, but some pages detached from textblock at rear. Boards have heavy wear with bumped and abraded corners. Spine ends similarly worn and spine itself strongly scuffed. All gilt dulled, heavily so on spine. Board surfaces scratched and rubbed. Front and rear boards totally detached.

Text generally clean and bright with excellent colour plates throughout, some of these fingermarked to edges. Bevelled edged boards with elaborate gilt embossed decoration, heavily worn. Decorative leather spine with burgundy label with title. Top and bottom of spine rubbed. Spine scuffed. Netting showing through at front hinge. Foxing throughout which is heavier to front and rear. Beautiful colour illustrations. Binding tight. Preowned. This book is a large and heavy book so may incur extra postage.
