Exquisite binding in fine condition in blue cloth slipcase, contents about fine but for small closed tears to bottom inner edge on three preliminaries. (Very subtle crease to upper spine panel).. First edition thus. Folio. xx, 184p. Introduction by H. R. Haweis. "Embellished with over one hundred and twenty designs done by three brothers": George Woolliscroft Rhead, Frederick Rhead, and Louis Rhead. Text in brown. Every page with large decorative frames in green depicting flowers and trailing vines, some pages with vignette illustrations in the text in brown, and with frontispiece and 36 full-page images in brown. In a deluxe binding by Sickles in full blue crushed morocco, t.e.g., the spine with gilt titles and simple gilt flowers and vines in the panels, the covers with triple fillet borders with large cornerpieces including a large tan onlay as a flower on each, the upper cover with central initials. Inscribed and Signed by Louis Rhead, March 23, 1903.
