HATFIELD BOOKS AND MEMORABILIA, a FIVE STAR SELLER, presents a SIGNED FIRST PRINTING copy of A PINCH OF SALT by THOMAS J NIXON III. The author served In the Navy aboard the aircraft carriers U.S.S. Saratoga and U.S.S. Lexington. He received a Purple Heart for injuries received as a damage control officer during the Battle of the Coral Sea, May 8, 1942. LCDR NIXON was born, raised and received his funeral service in Hertford, NC on the Albemarle Sound. Most of the poems reflect his beloved North Carolina seashore. 5 5/8" x 8 3/4", 52 pages, 46 poems, stapled softcover. Overall condition is NEAR FINE. Pages = Near Fine: slight yellowing of page edges, old price on first fep, signature of the author on title page, else As New. Cover (stapled blue textured cardboard with illustration and particulars in black) = Near Fine: sunning to edges throughout, else As New
