Personal copy of Gerry Andrews, author of "Metis Outpost" and the first schoolmaster of the Metis settlement at nearby Kelly Lake, BC. Stapled to back free endpaper is a letter to Mr. Andrews signed by the author of the Goodfare portion of this book, Mary Dupont. Also included is a carbon copy of Mr. Andrews' reply to Mrs. Dupont. Mr. Andrews obviously studied this book at great length as his respectful markings appear throughout. pp. v, 800.. Index. Dozens of black and white reproductions of wonderful archival photos. Maps with local landowners indicated. An Alberta local history composed primarily of biographies listed according to district. Above-average wear. Binding intact.
