Livorno: Giovanni Marenigh, 1812. Second Edition. Hardcover (Vellum). Very Good Condition. Baccio Baldini. 3 volumes attractively bound in later limp green vellum over the original blue-gray wraps. Light browning to page edges and original covers, offsetting from the frontis, small section with a dampstain at the end of volume 2, including to a section of the Inferno plate and the two following plates. Some miscreases and light browning to some plates, but generally quite clean. The second edition of this history of Pisa, with many more plates (32 versus 16) than the original 1787 edition. 32 plates, many folding, plus the frontis including two impressions of 15th century plates, Baccio Baldini's Inferno, after the Camposanto fresco in Pisa, and St. Jerome Penitent, also attributed to Baldini. Both strong impressions and remarkable. xxiv, 507, [3]; xxiii, [1], 559, [3]; xvi, 589, [3] pp, plus errata leaves in each volume. Size: Octavo (8vo). 3-volume set (complete).
