Frontispiece photo portrait of Harris and two additional photo plates. Very good, bit of fraying top portion of the front outer hinge. Autobiography of then Washington Senators player-manager Bucky Harris. Published following the Senator's victory in the 1924 World Series over the New York Giants in seven games. Harris had been named manager for 1924 at the age of 27, earning the nickname "The Boy Wonder"; his team won the AL pennant the following year as well. His playing career lasted from 1919 to 1931 and he later managed the Phillies, the Yankees (with whom he won the 1947 World Championship), the Tigers, and again with the Senators. He was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1975.

First printing of this memoir by the Baseball Hall of Fame manager of the 1924 World Series wining Washington Senators. Introduction by Clark Griffin. Very good or better with neatly written previous owner name in a fair to good, unclipped dustjacket with a 1" x 1" chip to bottom of the spine, a few shallow edge chips and a 4" closed tear to the front panel.
