About This Item
Athens: (No Publisher), 1951. First edition. With six poems translated from the Spanish of Antonio Machado. INSCRIBED by author on front endpaper with a rather lengthy note to a friend: "Dear Mr. and Mrs. --- You know , honestly, in spite of 2 1/2 years of silence, I'm sure of the same intimacy with you...." Very good minus in light green, printed paperwraps with spine and front cover tanned, covers lightly soiled and corners bumped; one-inch tear split at head of spine, and inside rear cover shows few spots of rubbing and residue suggesting a pasted-on mylar cover has been removed.
