Ann Arbour: Unviersity of Michigan, 1959 Very Good plus copy of the poems of Boris Pasternak, translated by Eugene M. Kayden. Some points of interest: inner jacket flap bears quotation, "For the first time the reader can discover in English, through Kayden's translation, all the beauty and originality of the Russian poems." (Printed Price on unclipped jacket is $3.95). Printing details: 1959. No other information. Just before the preface, there is a statement that Pasternak was very pleased with the translation and sent Kayden the ms of "The Passing Storm." The statement goes on to say. "This manuscript is reproduced in facsimile in this volume." The poem appears, but not in any way 'in facsimile.' Whether this was changed at the last minute, or perhaps was not repeated if this is a later printing, I am not sure. Book is in very nice condition., The spine has some wear and fading at edges.
