Original Green Cloth Boards With Gilt Top Edge, Spine Lettering, Border And A Device On Front Board. Surmounted By A Beaver (Looks Quite Cpr-Ish). Light Rub To Corners And Slight Darkening Of Pages But Very Good For Age. Former Owner Name On Ffep, Some Pencilled Bookseller Notes, Else Without Mark. The Last Four Pages Provide Some Reviewer Praise. Campbell Was For Most Of His Life, A Clerk In The Canadian Civil Service, A Position Primarily Enabled In Recognition Of His Writing. (Sir John A. Macdonald Read One Of His Poems In The House). A Complex Man, He Sought To Inspire His Readers And To Work Out His Ideas On Faith, Patriotism, Politics And The Like. His "Indian Summer" (The United States For Its Lovely Nature Lyrics, One Of Which, ¿Indian Summer¿ (¿Along The Line Of Smoky Hills / The Crimson Forest Stands¿), Appeared In Numerous Anthologies.
