Only 1 World Cat holding at Univer. of Pennsylvania- Conjectured date seems reasonably correct since this volume on ffep has PO dedication " Emma from Eugene, Christmas, 1860."- Also PO Dorothy Prouty, daughter of Ex-Governor Prouty of Vermont.- Small poem with dried inlay of rose- probably written by Emma. "This rose was sent by one as fair, His image on my heart is graved, And never shall I find as rare."- 1st Thus- Full embossed leather with fice raised bands on spine, gilt titles on front and back cover and spine- all edges are gilt- bevel edged coevers are rubbed, but spine, textblock and binding are stron, square and tight.- Two volumes in one comprising- Vol. 1-Memorir of Milton, Paradise Lost. Vol. 2- Paradise Regained, Samson Agonistes, Comus, Arcades, On His Own Blindness, and Minor Poems, Odes, Miscellanies, Translations, (Poemata)- Elegiarum Liber, Epigramattum Liber, Sylvarum Liber.- Vol. 1- blank, frontis, title, [i-iii], iv-L, [4], 18-400, Vol. 2- v, [4], 10-368, blank. Illustrated with 7 engravings by Sartain and Burt not paginated.
