About This Item

San Francisco: Book Club of California, 2014. First printing. 49 pp., 5.5 x 10.5 inches. Quarter-cloth and paper over boards, issued without dust-jacket. Edited and designed by Carolee Campbell at Ninja Press, and printed letterpress on Zerkall papers by Norman Clayton at Classic Letterpress in Ojai, California, in an edition of three hundred numbered copies signed by all five poets. Illustrated with photographs by Carolee Campbell. The boards are covered with an indigo sheet of pure Belgian flax, handmade at Cave Paper in Minneapolis especially for the edition; the books were bound by Klaus-Ullrich Roetzscher at the Pettingell Book Bindery in Berkeley, California. Laid into this copy is a keepsake printed for the standing order members of the Book Club of California, a broadside featuring Kay Ryan's poem "Hermits" and signed by the poet. Book and broadside are in very fine condition, essentially as new.
