Faint foxing, narrow strip of light discoloration at right plate edge, light wear and short tears to edges (well outside plate area); a bright image. An exquisite image of two pears on a leafy branch drawn by Antoine Poiteau, with botanical details. Plate 312 from an edition of Poiteau and Turpin: Traite des Arbres Fruitiers (1808-1835). Printed by Langlois, a master printer who worked with Redoute. A handsome large antique botanical engraving. .
