This is a scarce, bound volume of POLO magazine ("The Magazine of the Game") that contains the publication's first 12 issues from June, 1927 to May, 1928 (a complete run of issues 1-12 from Volume 1). Fine binding with marbled covers, gilt lettering and decorations on the spine with raised bands and gilt top edge. Published by Quigley Publishing Company in the United States. The magazine was "obtainable by subscription only." Contents include general horsemanship, horse show results, sailing, steeplechase, polo and foxhunting, with many illustrations from photographs and drawings. The issues include great illustrated advertisements for companies such as Abercrombie & Fitch, Brooks Brothers Clothing, Marlboro Cigarettes, Renault, White Star Line, Cunard Line, A.G. Spalding & Bros, and many more.

Condition:
Clean covers with no stains; bright gilt on the spine; some scuffing along the edges of the boards; light rubbing of the leather at the top and bottom edges of the spine. Tight binding. No loose pages. The issues are in terrific condition with only occasional light staining.
