Quarto; Each plate measures 14.75 x 11.5 inches, printed in black and white, with captioned titles and numbered 1 through 10; All are by Photographer L. W. Beeson; The collection is complete are as follows; 1.Judging Country Cows at a Communty Picnic 2. Spirit And Strength In Horseflesh 3. Mutton In The Making 4. No Hunger Strike Here (Piglets of six different breeds) 5. Feeding Her Flock Of White Wyandottes (Poultry) 6. An Accredited Dairy Herd 7. Angora Goats 8. Castor - Versatile Morgan Horse 9. Growing Into The Beef Business 10. They'll Pull You Through (Pure Bred Jacks, Mules) A legend within a shield appears in each of the photographs, "The Purpose Of This Picture And The Others In The Series Is To Show Good Types Of Livestock.". While we were able to determine using OCLC that there were in fact only ten images in this series there were no holdings listed for any institutions. Special collections of the Department of Agriculture can provide downloaded pdf images of some of these but not all. Quite scarce.
