Oxford - Phaidon-Christie's, 1988 Book. Very Good. Hardcover. First edition.. A lavishly illustrated First Edition of Oberhuber's monograph of Poussin's early years in Rome. Bound in cloth with gilt and blind-stamped lettering, with an unclipped dustwrapper. With numerous in-text illustrations throughout, many in colour. Konrad Oberhuber (1935-2007) was an Austrian art historian and longtime director of the Albertina museum in Vienna. Condition: The binding is tight and firm. There is very little wear to the extremities. The dustwrapper has slight marks and discolouration to the rear wrap. Internally the pages are bright and clean. Overall the condition is fine with a very good indeed dustwrapper..
