Bratislava: Dav, 1933. Octavo (19 × 13.8 cm). Original photo-illustrated wrappers; 47, [1] pp. Light toning to wrapper edges; else very good. ["Bratislava Bauhaus"]. First and only edition of this Slovak translation of Viennese psychoanalist Annie Reich's 1932 book on children's sexual education, "Wenn dein Kind dich fragt..." With wrappers by Jozef Rybák, who was involved with the School of Arts and Crafts (Škola umeleckých remesiel, or ŠUR) in Bratislava, founded in 1928 and in many ways close in spirit to the Dessau Bauhaus. Its founding members included The teachers noted avant-garde artists such as Ľudovít Fulla, Mikuláš Galanda, Jaromír Funke, and Zdeněk Rossmann, and visiting lecturers included Moholy-Nagy and Tschichold. Rybák created numerous wrapper designs during the late 1920s and 1930s, and was a contributor to the leftist Slovak avant-garde journal DAV (1924-1937), for which he profiled the ŠUR.
