Haliburton 1810" - possibly Alexander Haliburton, coal master, and mayor of Wigan (1825). With a single old small circular stamp of the Torquay Natural History Society (founded by the eminent geologist William Pengelly) on the title page, with a printed list of their regulations neatly laid down on the front pastedown.
