The book itself is near fine - clean, tight, unmarked, and unblemished save for some mild chafing to its spine. The dustjacket is whole and intact with only some mild wear to the top of its spine. An attractive copy! Early Rex Stout novel, published the same year as the first Nero Wolfe mystery. Published under the name of "Anonymous", this is a thriller about the President of the United States being apparently kidnapped. This is a vintage G&D reprint issued in 1934.

The unclipped dust jacket, protected in a sleeve, is edge rubbed with chips (one at the top of the rear panel is 1" x 1/4"), closed tears (deepest is 1/2", also on the top of the rear panel), and some wrinkling. The spine is light to mildly toned.
