The text is illustrated with the occasional black-and-white photograph. Red coloured boards with white coloured titles to the front panel and back strip. Plaintext dustwrapper with black and white coloured titles to the front panel and black coloured titles to the back strip. Black-and-white photographs of John Brumer to the rear panel. Black-and-white photograph of author to the rear fold over panel. The life and extraordinary adventures of John Brumer, who, for two years in the 1960s was Rhodesian President Kenneth Kaunda's most trusted advisor, and, with the most influence, at the time when the Rhodesia was rebelling against English rule. Then he became, almost de facto leader of, Republic of Zambia. Rubbing to the back strip corners, book corners and lower book edges. Age toning of the text block edges with some stains to the top text edge. Offset tanning and handling marks to the front endpapers with offset tanning to the end papers. Chipping to the dustwrapper corners and back strip corners. Creasing of the dustwrapper edges with rubbing of the panels. Fading to the back strip. Browning to the verso. A previous owner has supported a small tear to the top edge of the back strip to the verso  tape still in situ. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. [8], 183, [1] pages,.
